Words of Wisdom

If you could write a note to your younger self in two words what would it be?

To my ten year old self, I would say, "Dont worry!"
When I was 10, I dreaded going to school because of my maths teacher, Mr.Mwangi. With his huge spectacles, cane and sarcasm. He caned the maths into my head, literally. It got to a point, we put leaves outside the classroom with a belief that certain leaves would make him nice. The juju did not work.

To my high school self I would say,"Be Yourself." That quiet, confused small girl should not have to  worry about  popularity and belonging. Just be yourself. Let those who accept you as you are in. Those judgmental popular people will not matter or define your future. My dear girl, Be yourself.

To that 18 year old who was waiting to join university, I would say," Follow Your Dreams!"

Want to take a catering class go ahead do it. Want to join art school woohoo all the best. This is the time to explore and if you have a chance grab it and hold on. Have fun, take a break and don't stress. There will be plenty of time for that in the future.

To my freshman self I would say,"TAKE CHANCES!".

University gives you so many choices, chances to travel, to lead to sing. Chances to be the best you can be.

To my 22 year old self I would say "Stay true!"- Remember what your mother taught you. University offers freedom, fun and friends through it all be true to your dignity and upbringing.

To my 2015 self: Worry not

Life makes comparing yourself to others easy.
WORRY NOT Child, instead count your blessings!!
TRUST GOD, LOVE GOD N RUN TO HIM! He's got your back!
